May was a big month. Grandson Dane graduated from High School and picked Indiana State University as his next level of education; My friend Mark took up a new hobby, Mycology; My friend Kaitlin graduated from the University of Portland; Lisa, Emma and I traveled to Indiana; I managed to capture one of the best eagle photographs ever (for me) and I did a few projects for KNKX. Altogether a funfilled and active month.

A little sun, some big smiles and a great day for some spring cleaning.
More and more we're seeing wildlife in our backyard. It's nice to see these beautiful creatures but it's sad what we're doing to their habitat. As our cities grow and we spread out these poor creatures have fewer and fewer places to go.
American Bald Eagle
Wow! was I ever lucky to get this iconic photograph. I was at a function in Browns Point and shooting for KNKX. While standing out on the deck I saw this eagle land on the very top of a fir tree. The wind was blowing and he was rocking back and forth and looked close to being blown off. I knew that he might take flight at any second so I waited and bam! off he goes right in front of me. Mt. Rainier, Commencement Bay and the Tacoma Industrial tide flats all in the same photo. SCORE!
