Dr. Michael Alberts ~ Painter, Photographer, Veterinarian
Michael Alberts found his inspiration in painting. His amazing attention to detail and his love for realism is his passion. Michael is self taught and his admiration for the works of William Adolphe Bouguereau has put him on a path of creating realism in a new era. In his desire to paint he hopes to bring both beauty and story for the viewer to feel and to appreciate. His preferred mediums are oil, graphite, ink and colored pencil. Michael has been in pursuit of his expression for years. It began with photography; spending hours capturing beautiful wildlife images in National Parks and later a desire to sketch and draw those same images. Then, one afternoon and with no formal training, he decided to pick up a brush and canvas and hasn't looked back. I am privileged to say that I have known Mike for 10 years and have traveled with him on this path. It has been astonishing to watch him grow and I am honored to call him my friend. More of Michael's work can be seen at https://www.mikealbertsart.com/cover-1 and here on Flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/146549278@N05/
